Physiotherapy
We find the cause of pain, not just its symptom
Whether you suffer from back or joint pain or the consequences of overload or injury — at our Pankrác clinic we help you return to pain-free movement. We don’t focus only on the spot that hurts; we look for the real cause within the whole body.

Physiotherapy is a medical field focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. We take a comprehensive, individual approach — lower-back pain may be linked to a weakened deep stabilisation system (CORE), and recurring headaches to an overloaded cervical spine. The goal is to restore correct movement patterns, remove muscle imbalances and increase the body’s resilience to everyday strain.
You will now find physiotherapy at our Pankrác clinic. In June 2026 we moved from Bulovka and the whole physiotherapy team now works under one roof — the Gemini A building, Na Pankráci 1683/127.
The most common issues we treat
Acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems
Functional disorders, joint blockages and muscle imbalances that limit movement.
Post-operative and post-injury conditions
After surgery or injuries to muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons, or after fractures.
Our specialisations
Pelvic floor physiotherapy, temporomandibular joint physiotherapy and custom-made Formthotics orthopaedic insoles.
What we offer within this service

General Physiotherapy
Suffering from back pain caused by a sedentary job? General physiotherapy in Pankrác offers the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders with a comprehensive, individual approach — we do not focus only on where the pain appears, but look for its true cause across the whole body. We help clients of all ages, from people with sedentary jobs and active athletes to patients recovering from injuries or surgery. No referral or doctor's recommendation is needed for your visit.

Temporomandibular Joint Physiotherapy
Suffering from jaw pain, headaches or teeth grinding? We offer specialised physiotherapy for disorders of the temporomandibular (jaw) joint and the chewing apparatus. The jaw joint is directly connected to the cervical spine and the nervous system — the aim of the therapy is to release the overloaded chewing muscles, restore proper joint function and ease the related headaches and neck or nape pain. Thanks to the close cooperation of our physiotherapists and dentists, we address the problems comprehensively, with an emphasis on long-term results.

Gynaecological Physiotherapy
Do you feel that your pelvic floor isn't working the way it should? Gynaecological physiotherapy focuses on both the prevention and the treatment of pelvic floor problems. It helps with pain in the pelvic area, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary or faecal incontinence, and painful menstruation or intercourse. It is also suitable during pregnancy (from week 12), after childbirth and after gynaecological surgery. The therapy is always individual and includes a targeted examination, education and appropriately chosen exercises.

Sports Physiotherapy
Injured while playing sport, or looking to improve your performance? Sports physiotherapy is a specialised field focused on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of problems related to sporting activity. It takes into account the specific demands of individual sports and is suitable for professional athletes as well as recreationally active people who want to exercise without pain, improve the quality of their movement, or return safely to sport after an injury or surgery.

Custom Formthotics Orthopaedic Insoles
Suffering from foot, heel or back pain? We custom-fit individually moulded New Zealand Formthotics insoles during a single visit. Once heated, they adapt to the shape of your foot and, unlike conventional rigid insoles, combine support, flexibility and shock absorption. They help promote proper foot function, stability when walking and running, and a more even load distribution across the lower limbs.

Paediatric Physiotherapy
Looking for expert care for your child's healthy development? We care for children from age 6 and adolescents — the physiotherapist assesses posture, movement patterns, muscle balance and any restricted mobility, and designs an individual therapy plan. The first visit includes an initial examination, education for child and parents, and recommended exercises for home. Therapy is always tailored to the child's age and difficulties.

High-Intensity Laser
Suffering from back pain, muscle injuries or tendon inflammation? High-intensity MLS® laser therapy can form part of comprehensive care for musculoskeletal complaints — from acute muscle and tendon injuries to back and joint pain and scar care. Treatments are performed by certified therapists, and you can book directly, without a doctor's referral.

Shockwave Therapy
Suffering from heel spurs, tennis elbow or chronic tendon pain? We offer both radial and focused shockwave therapy as part of the modern conservative treatment of painful musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment is provided by certified physiotherapists who assess the suitability of the therapy before application and rule out any contraindications. You can book directly, without a doctor's referral.

Therapeutic Massage
NewWant to release muscle tension and treat yourself to a moment of relaxation? A therapeutic massage guided by a physiotherapist at our Pankrác clinic focuses on targeted muscle relaxation and the release of overstrained areas. The physiotherapist chooses the techniques according to the client's current condition, so that the massage is not only pleasant but above all therapeutic.
A modern approach with proven methods
High-Intensity MLS® Laser
The M-Hi device by Kardio-line with an output of up to 270 W. This non-invasive therapy uses light energy to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and support tissue regeneration — as a complementary method for pain in tendon attachments, the back and joints, for nerve entrapment syndromes and for scar care. Applied by certified therapists who assess the suitability of the therapy beforehand and rule out contraindications.
Storz Medical Radial and Focused Shockwave
Complete Storz Medical equipment. Radial shockwave (RSWT) acts primarily on tissues closer to the surface — muscle imbalances, overstrained soft tissues and myofascial trigger points. Focused shockwave (FSWT) allows targeted treatment at a precisely defined tissue depth, especially for tendon attachment problems. Uses: plantar fasciitis, tennis and golfer's elbow, the Achilles tendon and painful shoulder conditions.
Podoscope
Examination on a podoscope helps assess the loading of individual parts of the foot, the shape of the arch and the support points when standing. Based on the results, the physiotherapist designs the optimal insole setup for your individual needs.
Formthotics Thermoplastic Technology
Insoles made of a special patented polyethylene foam are heated in a dedicated device and moulded directly to the shape of your foot. They then continue to mould naturally during everyday use.
Therapeutic methods
Your visit step by step
Initial examination (mandatory)
The first visit includes taking your medical history — a conversation about your problems, lifestyle and limitations. The physiotherapist carries out an examination and assesses your posture, movement patterns, range of motion and muscle imbalances.
Targeted therapy
Based on the examination, the physiotherapist uses manual techniques and mobilisation to bring relief and improve the function of the musculoskeletal system.
Home exercise instruction
We teach you the correct exercises to perform safely at home to maintain results and prevent problems from returning. We record the exercises together with you so that you can easily return to them at home.
Plan for further care
We propose an individual therapy plan and recommend a suitable way to continue treatment, including instrument-based physiotherapy (laser, shockwave). If necessary, we refer you to a specialist for further examination.
